By Air:
The closest airport is Iasi International Airport. The code is IAS. It is located about 10 km from the city center.
Another major airport close by is the Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport (OTP). The duration of a land transfer from Bucharest to Iasi is about 7 hours.

Transfers from Iasi Airport to the city center:

• by TAXI: The typical way to reach the city center from the airport is by taxi. The taxi station is located in front of the airport terminals T2 and T3. The fare takes about 15 minutes and a normal day price to the city center should be about 6-7 EUR (~25-30 Lei in Romanian currency). You can also order a taxi by phone. The main taxi companies in Iasi are: EuroTaxi (tel. +40 232 217 217), LuxTaxi (+40 232 255 255), ParmaTaxi (+40 232 941). The day price per kilometer of all taxi companies in Iasi is around 2.5 Lei, and a similar starting fee (about 0.5 EUR).
• by BUS: The bus line nr. 50 connects the airport to the city center. At the airport the bus stop is just in front of terminal T3. For the city center you should get out at one of the stops "Piata Independetei" (Independance Square) or "Piata Unirii" (Union Square). Please see also the map.
